Clipture Privacy Policy

Effective July 21, 2026

Clipture is designed to do its work locally. TalkApe does not collect personal data from the Clipture app.

Data we collect

Clipture does not send screenshots, annotations, clipboard contents, file lists, usage events, identifiers, or diagnostics to TalkApe or to third-party analytics services.

The app has no account system and does not use advertising or tracking SDKs.

Local app data

Screenshots and exports are written only when you copy, save, pin, or otherwise ask Clipture to create them. Clipboard history, when enabled, is stored in Clipture's local application container on this Mac.

You can change retention, exclude applications, or clear clipboard history in Clipture Settings. Uninstalling Clipture and removing its application container deletes remaining local app data.

System permissions

Screen Recording lets Clipture read the pixels you choose to capture. Accessibility is used only for automatic scrolling input in scrolling capture. These permissions are controlled by macOS and can be withdrawn at any time in System Settings.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Clipture receives transaction and entitlement information from StoreKit so it can unlock Pro features. Apple handles payment information under Apple's privacy policy; Clipture does not receive your full payment details.

Children and international use

Clipture is a general-purpose productivity utility. Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children or transfer app content between countries.

Changes and contact

If Clipture later adds a network feature, this policy and the in-app disclosure will be updated before that feature collects or transmits data. Questions can be sent to privacy@talkape.net.
