Find copied content with one shortcut

Press Shift-Command-V to open clipboard history. Start typing to filter text, filenames, and source applications. Use the arrow keys to move through results and press Return to paste the selected item into the app you were using.

Text is shown directly. Images use a constrained preview so large screenshots do not resize the panel. File lists keep their original file references when they are still available.

Stored on this Mac

Clipboard entries are stored in Clipture's local application data and are not uploaded. You can keep text, images, and file lists for different periods, set storage and item limits, filter by content type or source app, and clear history from Settings.

Clipture can ignore temporary clipboard data and entries generated automatically by applications. Clipboard history can also be disabled entirely without affecting screenshot features.

Built for long histories

The history viewer loads visible rows efficiently rather than rendering every preview at full size. Search and filters work against indexed metadata, while image data is decoded only when needed for the selected preview.

Frequently asked questions

Does macOS include clipboard history?

macOS normally exposes the current clipboard item, not a searchable history. Clipture records new clipboard changes while it is running and history is enabled.

Where is Clipture clipboard history stored?

Entries are stored in Clipture's local application container on the current Mac and are not uploaded.

What can Clipture remember?

Clipture can retain plain text, images, and file lists. Each type can have its own retention policy and storage limits.
